Collection: Lion's Head Lighthouse

This iconic little red and white lighthouse was destroyed by a huge winter storm on January 12, 2020.  With donations and support from local businesses (including Hutton Hill Designs), it has been rebuilt and now stands again in the Lion's Head harbour.

My husband is from Lion's Head, and he and his family have deep roots in that area of the Bruce peninsula on Georgian Bay in Ontario.  In fact, his grandfather was the Lighthouse Keeper from 1956 - 1969.

News of the lighthouse's demise in 2020 came to us the same day as the Celebration of Life for my brother-in-law Dwight who passed away earlier in January.

In honour of Dwight, I created this collection depicting the Lion's Head Light as it was before the storm.  I set up a program to donate the profits of all sales of these items, and will continue to do so.  Thank You to all those who have supported this effort!  Going forward, your purchase of any Lion's Head item will help maintain the new lighthouse and shoreline of Lion's Head.
